1967 na Monzi tokom treninga, Jack Brabham je testirao nesto slicno na svom Brabhamu BT-24. Odustao je od te ideje jer su mu se po toj zastiti od pleksiglasa lijepile musice i prljavstina, da nakon samo par krugova nije nista vidio.

BBC eyeing F1 broadcast deal axe
Monday 14 March at 08:31 : Mar.14 (GMM) British media reports say the national broadcaster BBC is considering abandoning its television coverage of formula one.

The move, with senior managers reportedly also considering dropping coverage of the famous Wimbledon tennis tournament, is amid the BBC coming under pressure to cut 20 per cent from its budget by 2014.

The Guardian said the BBC, having taken over Britain's F1 coverage from commercial broadcaster ITV in 2009, currently spends 40 million pounds ($64 million) on the sport per year.

The current contract runs until 2014.

A report in the Daily Mail said F1 is a "non-peaktime product" for the BBC, with its cost "seen in some quarters as an extravagance at a time when cuts are desperately needed".

A BBC spokesman said: "We are looking at a range of ideas and it would be wrong to comment on what is speculation."

A kaj i ovak da se prevrne, pa kad se vec uspio sabit tak da je naopacke zavrsio radi se o vecoj nesreci i vjerojatno je vozac shakean ili je u nesvjesti, nece izpuzat samo tako ispod bolida nego ce sigurno i najvjerojatnije doktori i ekipa ga vadit van. Brisaci se mogu rjesiti kemijom a o tvrdoci isto nebi trebalo biti problema - moglo bi se sve to napravit kako spada! Pa moze jedan F22 Raptor, kako nemoze F1.

Izasao je službeni tehnički pravilnik za 2014. Uz nove motore ima par zanimljivosti.

- Kroz bokseve bolidi ce se pokretati samo sa KERSom
- Motori ce se morati startati sami, odnosno vozač ce moci upaliti i ugasiti motor
- Prednja krila uža za 15 cm
- Povecana max. težina zbog vece baterije KERSa

Kroz cijeli pit lane , 100 km/h bez ikakvog zvuka :P

The car must be run in electric mode (no ignition and no fuel supply to the engine) at all times
when being driven in the pit lane.

na f1technical forumu je jedan napisao da bi mogli uvesti da se u boksu samo na guranje mehaničara tiče. Pa tko ima najjaču ekipu u boksu taj najbrže odradi boksove :D

ma koji klinac ova pravila nemaju smisla uopce . gear ratio se ne smije mijenjat ? A što sa stazama poput Monaca(tamo su potrebne kratke brzine tj smanjivanje ratia) i recimo monze ili Singapura kako ce moc tamo jednak ratio koristit ? ili sam krivo shvatio

FIA potvrdila nova pravila za 2014.: motori će se paliti iz kokpita, a bolidi će imati osam brzina

FIA je u četvrtak objavila nekoliko novih mjera koje se uvode s tehničkim pravilnikom za 2014.: motori će se morati paliti iz kokpita, a F1 bolidi će umjesto sedam imati osam brzina.


Broj okretaja povećan kako bi zvuk motora ostao atraktivan

Svjetska automobilistička federacija službeno je potvrdila da će novi motori, koji se uvode 2014., biti ograničeni na maksimalni 15 000 okretaja.

Formula 1, podsjetimo, 2014. prelazi na novu, 1.6 litrenu V6 konfiguraciju. FIA je prvotno zamislila maksimalnih 12 000 okretaja, ali brojka je povećana kako bi Formula 1, koliko-toliko, zadržala svoj prepoznatljiv zvuk.

Povećanja maksimalnog broja okretaja bila je samo formalnost koja je sada definitivno potvrđena u revidiranom tehničkom pravilniku.

Paljenje motora iz kokpita

Druga važna vijest koja se odnosi na 2014. je zahtjev da se bolidi mogu paliti iz kokpita, a ne pomoću vanjskih startera, što je do sada bio slučaj.

"Vozač u svakom trenutku sjedenja u kokpitu za upravljačem mora biti u mogućnosti upaliti motor bez vanjske pomoći," stoji u FIA-inom pravilniku.

FIA se nada kako će ova mjera pomoći vozačima,kojima se prilikom izlijetanja ili izvrtanja ugasio motor da se vrate u utrku.

F1 bolidi od 2014. sa osam brzina

Treća važna mjera odnosi se na alternativne izvore energije i bolidi će prema njoj pitlaneom smjeti voziti jedino na električni pogon.

Četvrta mjera koju je FIA potvrdila odnosi se na sustav prijenosa snage i F1 bolidi će od 2014. morati imati osam brzina.

Još je sve koliko toliko prihvatljivo ali ta nova vožnja kroz pit lane mi se uopće ne sviđa [-X

Za nekoliko godina definitivno u potpunosti će uništiti ovaj sport #-o , svaka čast ekološkoj osviještenosti ali ovaj sport bez benzina, snažnih motora i specifičnog dosadašnjeg zvuka nije taj sport. Kuda to vodi još malo gledati ćemo bolide na struju lijepo mir i tišina i bolidi polagano kruže stazom :oops:

sto se tice pravila, naravno da su vecina grozota, al mi se jedino svidja sto je manje krilo.. barem nesto pozitivno..

Evo jedan zanimljiv clanak
McLaren bounced back resoundingly for Lewis Hamilton to win the German Grand Prix after two relatively uncompetitive races. The question is, how?

At the Nurburging, the MP4-26 reverted to the sort of form it had displayed at Barcelona, Monaco and Montreal, when it was arguably the fastest Sunday car of all. The difference in Germany was that Hamilton transcended its natural level in qualifying, usually the car's weakness.

The difficult races that followed Montreal - Valencia and Silverstone - resulted in a dip in form by McLaren but there are specific reasons for each of those.

The ebb and flow during the season of the relative competitiveness between the top three cars - Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari - is largely down to the differing way each of those cars uses its tyres, and the implications of that on specific circuit layouts and track temperatures.

Very high track temperatures on a traction track hurt McLaren at Valencia but had relatively little to do with the poor form at Silverstone; that was all about how adversely affected the car was by the one-off limitation on the use of exhaust gases to generate downforce there.

From Germany, Formula 1 reverted back to pre-Silverstone regulations, the track temperatures were very cool and suddenly the McLaren was right back to where it had been before. It is not quite as black and white as that but that is the essential underlying picture.

The other contributory factors were: Hamilton's stupendous personal performance, particularly in qualifying; the way the very low track temperatures hurt the Ferrari; and the way the long, high-speed curves of the middle sector - combined with the Red Bull's big downforce - seemed to overwork its rear tyres, leaving it strategically vulnerable towards the end of the stints.

And one more thing: McLaren's perfect tactical calls on a day when that was a very difficult thing to do.

The Ferrari remains the easiest of the three cars on its tyres - and that was the main reason why it was struggling in qualifying and in the early parts of a stint.

Felipe Massa tends to struggle with tyre temperature even more than Fernando Alonso but on Saturday even Alonso's tyres were found to be about 15C below their optimum level. They would get into the correct window eventually but only after several laps.

The Ferrari is much improved in this respect since its Silverstone aerodynamic upgrade but the basic trait is still there and the low track temperatures of an unseasonably cool Nurburgring just brought that out quite acutely.

This characteristic paid back late in the stints - as Alonso showed with an in-lap for the second stops that was 0.7 seconds faster than either Hamilton's or Mark Webber's - but it meant it was invariably playing catch-up.

The Red Bull is the hardest on the tyres and were this still a tyre war formula, with teams able to choose and develop specific tyres to suit their cars, it is likely the Red Bull would be untouchable on both Saturday and Sunday rather than only in qualifying.

But with the current Pirelli control tyres, Red Bull's downforce advantage tends to overwork the rears if the corners are long and fast. There was a similar pattern on race day at Barcelona and Silverstone.

At the Nurburgring, the car seemed to be on the cusp of accessing a sweet spot in that regard, showing race-dominating potential with Webber on Friday afternoon race-simulation runs but that was not to be repeated in the race.

Webber has usually been harder on the tyre than Sebastian Vettel and, with the German having a rare off weekend, perhaps that just made the combination of pace with tyre preservation all the more difficult for the team.

The ideal car at the Nurburgring on Sunday - a track with a middle sector of long-duration fast corners but with very low track temperatures - was something that was quick to warm up its tyres but did not then overuse them. Something with good but not overwhelming downforce: a McLaren in other words.

But the weakness of McLaren's DRS overtaking aid rear wing - which does not shed as much downforce as it does on other cars - always tends to leave the team struggling on Saturday when that feature can be used freely.

Hamilton's fantastic performance then - gained in the two major braking areas into Turn One and the Turn 13/14 chicane - overcame that, laying the foundation for a great victory.

However, Hamilton is concerned about Hungary: a traction track likely to be very hot - a little like Valencia, except the corners are longer duration, putting the tyres under even more strain.

That sounds like perfect Ferrari territory. Except for one thing: current forecasts say it is going to be wet...

BBC and Sky awarded rights in new Formula 1 deal

The BBC and Sky Sports will broadcast Formula 1 in the UK between 2012 and 2018 under a new rights deal.

The BBC has been the exclusive broadcaster of F1 in the UK since 2009 but its contract with Formula One Management was due to expire after the 2013 season.

Sky Sports will show every race, qualifying session and practice live.

BBC Sport will broadcast half the races live, as well as the qualifying and practice sessions from those races.

Both companies will broadcast in high definition.

The BBC will have highlights on TV and mobile for any race it it is not showing live, and all races will be broadcast on BBC Radio 5 live.

Barbara Slater, director of BBC Sport, said: "We are absolutely delighted that F1 will remain on the BBC.

"The sport has never been more popular with TV audiences at a 10-year high and the BBC has always stated its commitment to the big national sporting moments.

"With this new deal not only have we delivered significant savings but we have also ensured that through our live and extended highlights coverage all the action continues to be available to licence-fee payers."

Races shown live on BBC TV will include the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the Monaco GP and the concluding race of the season.

Barney Francis, managing director of Sky Sports, said: "This is fantastic news for F1 fans and Sky Sports will be the only place to follow every race live and in HD.

"We will give F1 the full Sky Sports treatment with a commitment to each race never seen before on UK television."
