Ne bi se složio. Većina je vjerovala da će biti odmah tik uz Hamiltona. Možda malooo sporiji. Kao što kažeš, "super vozač". Nije ispalo baš tako. Mislim da je bilo očito da nije za prvu klasu. Za Mclarenov bolid.
Webber je, primjerice, puno konkurentniji Vettelu nego tada Kova Hamiju.
Samo neka se trkaju.

mislim da nema potrebe za to, barem kad je Grosjeanov bolid u pitanju. Mislim da je on svojim vožnjama ove godine začepio usta i najvećim kritičarima. Ne samo da je pokazao odličnu brzinu nego je pokazao i da je postao svjesniji događanja na stazi oko sebe

Naravno. Ovo su više neki stari stereotipi o njemu :). Veća frustracija je Maldonado, kojeg je pobijedio mladi debitantski kolega, a on ide u bolji bolid... Ali tako je to. Novac okreće svijet.
Samo neka se trkaju.

Boullier daje otkaz navodno. Nije zadovoljan jer je tim u financijskoj krizi, propao quantum, ode Kimi i nemogućnost potpisivanja Hulka jedni od razloga

Eto šanse za Force Indiju da bude više plasirana. A bogme, nastavi li im se ovakav nered u ekipi i Caterham će im imati što reći.

Šteta jedino zbog Gorsjeana...

Pad Lotusa.
Mislim da je ovo gore od odlaska Kimija. Čovjek je ove dvije sezone radio odličan posao, držao je momčad u vrhu kraj "normalne trojke" od kojih svaka ima i troši dosta više love, na drugu stranu to što Kimija nisu plaćali. Istina, nije to samo njegov utjecaj, ima tu dost i Allisonovih prstiju, kao i vozačevih, ali mislim da je trenutno samo Brawn veći, bolji team principal od njega. Točnije, ne sada, nego dok je bio TP Mercedesa.

Ima nekih špekulacija o mogućem nasljedniku?

Navodno Lotus je u velikim govnima većina zaposlenika jos ne dobiva plaću, nezna se koji motor će koristit, čak na nekim forumima i tweetovima kruzi da se mozda ne pojave na gridu 2014

Lotus neće biti na prvom testu
Lotus to sit out first test at Jerez

Lotus Technical Director Nick Chester has confirmed that his team will not be present at Jerez in an attempt to get its new E22 chassis ready in time for the second test at Bahrain.

It was rumoured for a longer while that Lotus would miss the test, having asked others to delay the test in order to be able to participate. Teams that are on schedule declined, making it not suitable for the Enstone based team to participate at Jerez winter testing.

Chester however said the development of the Lotus E22 is on track.

"Our E22 development programme has been ongoing for over two years and it has been illuminating watching it grow", he said. "The backbone of Enstone is strong and we are relishing the challenge of the new season ahead.

"From our perspective the figures look promising and development has been positive. That said, we are very much working with very little idea of what the other teams are doing. This is the first year of radically different regulations which means that all teams are developing their cars along potentially quite different avenues. It’s fascinating for us engineers and I hope it is fascinating for the fans too. We think we have a very good solution to the challenge and hopefully this will be seen when the E22 turns its wheels in anger.

"Yes, and I think we can still reflect on what a good car the E21 was as it finished the season still looking particularly competitive, and it was the only car able to get close to the Red Bull. There are certain concepts from the E21 which are still valid for the E22, but in particular our development methodology and synchronisation with our various simulations is especially relevant and promising.

"We’ve made very good progress with the various homologation tests which took place before Christmas including chassis squeeze and side impact loading tests as well as the rear crash structure, meaning we just have the nose test to complete the car’s homologation. We’ve undertaken chassis fits for Romain and Pastor. Certainly, our partners who have seen the car have reported themselves to be very impressed with the layout and various solutions to the new technical challenges.

"We’re going to keep our car under wraps a little longer than some other teams. We’ve decided that attending the Jerez test isn’t ideal for our build and development programme. We are likely to unveil the car before attending the Bahrain tests, and in Bahrain we should really be able to put the car through its paces in representative conditions."

The Jerez winter test is set to commence on 28 January.

ja neznam što tako neozbiljna ekipa radi u F1...nemaju love, nemaju spreman bolid...

Šteta za Grosjeana.
Sve su bliže da se one špekulacije o izostanku s grida ostvare.

U slučaju da u sezoni onda bude 10 momčadi, hoće li zadnja (10.) momčad dobiti onaj Bernijev bonus ili ne, zato jer je zadnja?

misliš onaj bonus koji je do sada dobivao 11. u poretku konstruktora? Ako na to misliš onda neće, zato jer je 2012. bila zadnja godina za taj bonus

Jan.14 (GMM) As fears about Lotus' health grow, 2013 reserve driver Davide Valsecchi has revealed he has not yet been paid by the Enstone based team.

As reigning GP2 champion, 26-year-old Italian Valsecchi served last year as Lotus' reserve driver, but he admitted last week he is now likely to exit.

"After a 2013 season in which I travelled a lot but did not get on the track, I want to go back to wearing overalls and a helmet," he had said.

When Lotus overlooked him late last season as Kimi Raikkonen's replacement in favour of Heikki Kovalainen, Valsecchi admitted the decision made him "angry".

"I thought that, in their choice, my willpower would prevail over a driver like the Finn, who is at the end of his career," he told the Italian website f1passion.it this week.

Valsecchi admits he is likely to leave F1 because powerful pay-drivers "such as the Mexicans or Venezuelans" have priced drivers like him out of the market.

"I don't conceal my desire to get into Indycar," he said.

In the meantime, there are real fears among Lotus' fans about the health of the Enstone based team.

Although highly competitive, the black and gold outfit finished last season amid headlines about its elusive Quantum buy-in deal, and now Lotus has been only conditionally listed on the 2014 entry list.

The very latest news is that team CEO Patrick Louis has resigned.

It is believed Lotus, having lost Kimi Raikkonen to Ferrari because the Finn wasn't paid, is struggling to raise its more than $2 million FIA entry fee for 2014.

Now, Valsecchi has admitted the team has failed even to pay his small 2013 salary.

"According to my contract my salary was like that of a waiter," he revealed. "They haven't paid me yet.

"I'm sure that as soon as they'll be in a position to do so, they'll solve their debt."

Valsecchi said the Kovalainen affair made him angry and "bitter", but he trusts Lotus to eventually pay, revealing the team has "always behaved well towards me".

"I'm very grateful to Lotus for having chosen me as third driver, without asking anything in return. I can't complain," he said.

"Try to look for a job as third driver without paying a single euro! We're talking about a team that could sell a seat for at least two or three million euros."

According to Italian media, Lotus developed a kind of 'walrus' nose cone for their E22. Rumours are reportedly backed by some departing employees.

Lotus teams up with Saxo Bank

Lotus F1 have today announced a new partner in the name of Saxo Bank, a Danish investment institution that is also well known for its sponsorship in the cycling world.

With another financial backer on board, the team looks set to start 2014, even though financial struggles led people to suspect the team would have trouble to make it to the first race of the season. The big debt the team currently faces is very certainly not helping to squash that thought.

Team Principal, Eric Boullier announced today "We are delighted to begin a relationship with Saxo Bank, a fast-growing online trading and investment specialist who have demonstrated strong support in sport through sponsorships in the world of cycling at the highest level with Team Tinkoff-Saxo.".

"Saxo Bank is taking an exciting and proactive approach to this new partnership with Lotus F1 Team and we are looking forward to enjoying a long and fruitful relationship."
