Vertikalni drzac straznjeg krila je takodje asimetrican. Izgleda da je ovo sa namjerom ucinjeno i mislim da udovoljava pravilima. Vjerojatno je centriran u odnosu na referentnu tocku.. Cijeli bolid djeluje kao velika igra sa bodywork-om i pravilima..Caldor je napisao/la:Auspuh im nije centriran

zadnjih 100 (ili 150)mm ispušne cijevi smije biti između zakrenuta maksimalno 5° od horizontale prema gore, te do maksimalno 5° lijevo ili desno od centralne linije

Pa onda je ocito ispusna cijev zakrenuta maksimalno 5 stepeni. Tesko je izmjeriti "odokativno", ali mislim da ne bi isli sa tim, ako nisu u okviru pravila, jer ipak imaju samo ova 4 dana testiranja i testiranja sljedeceg tjedna.Cuky je napisao/la:zadnjih 100 (ili 150)mm ispušne cijevi smije biti između zakrenuta maksimalno 5° od horizontale prema gore, te do maksimalno 5° lijevo ili desno od centralne linije

Zeznuta je ova Lotusova crna livreja, ništa ne možeš vidjeti.
Osvijetlio sam malo ovu sliku da se bolje vide usisnici u side podovima (jako mi se sviđaju) i veličina "rupe! koju su dobili s ovakvim nosom

Dal postoji ograničenje do koje duljine smije biti vanity panel u odnosu na neku stvar jer bi mi bilo blesavo da to naprave ovako, jedan dulji od drugog

Nos je jedan dulji od drugog zato jer pravila propisuju da bolid može imati samo jedan vrh. Kako je jedan kraći od drugog, onda je ovaj duži vrh nosa, a ovaj drugi je samo jedan od djelova bolida.

Zašto onda nisu napravili samo ljevu, ili desnu stranu? pa bi onda imali još više zraka u difuzoru

Mislim da tako ne bi imali više zraka u difuzoru. A ako bi imali isto zraka, sigurno im nije cilj napraviti asimetričan bolid, zbog raznih drugih stvari.

Bas tako. Dakle, postoji solucija kao kod Caterhama gdje postoji samo jedan vrh nosa, ali je on na sredini. Dok je ova solucija sa 2 vrha mnogo bolja, jer ostavlja veliki prostor za protok zraka prema difuzoru, a u isto vrijeme je simetrija okej.. Dakle, Lotus je zaista uradio sjajnu stvar glede toga. E sad, sve zavisi koliko ce cijeli paket funkcionirati. Npr. Allison je napomenuo da oblik nosa nece imati tako znacaj uticaj na performanse bolida, cime je upravo rekao da je paket kao cjelina od veceg znacaja. Sve zavisi od toga koju filozofiju aerodinamicari koriste u razlicitim momcadima. Npr, samo Mercedes i Ferrari su otisli drugacije od ostalih, te napravili siroke noseve cijelom duzinom i naglo ih spustili kako bi udovoljili pravilima. Nedosljednost novih Renaultovih sustava za povrat energije ometaju Lotusove vozače Pastora Maldonada i Romaina Grosjeana. S novim pravilima dolazi i veći povrat energije do te mjere da su novi brake-by-wire sustavi dizajnirani da pomognu stabilizirati bolid dok se energija pohranjuje prilikom kočenja. Međutim, sustavi su toliko složeni da u kombinaciji s manjkom kilometara koje je Lotus odvezao, rezultiraju drugim problemima, utječući negativno i na vozačevo povjerenje u bolid.
Lotusov tehnički direktor Nick Chester vjeruje da je E22 dobar, ali objašnjava zašto će momčadi trebati dugo vremena da bolid dosegne svoj maksimum:
“Što se tiče šasije, razina gripa nije toliko loša, iako smo čak izgubili malo downforcea. Najveći je problem kako šasija ‘surađuje’ s novom pogonskom jedinicom i kako radi sustav za pohranu energije. Tu postoje neke nedosljednosti pa je vozaču vrlo teško predvidjeti što će se dogoditi kada se približi zavoju. Sustav ne radi uvijek istu stvar, pa to ometa vozača i košta nas mnogo vremena.”
Chester priznaje da Renault nije u mogućnosti dati vremenski okvir u kojem će riješiti svoje probleme i otkloniti nedosljednost između pogonske jedinice i povezanih sustava.
“Nema dogovorenog roka. Naporno rade na tome. Kada skupe sve informacije siguran sam da ćemo znati čime raspolažemo za Melbourne.”

Lotus preparing major upgrades for Spain
Lotus is set to bring a major upgrade package to its E22 at the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix. Among the upgrades are a new cooling package and new bodywork, according to the team's Technical Director Nick Chester.
Describe the Chinese GP from a technical stand point?
"We made some good steps on engine mapping. The car was a lot more driveable due to a much better torque delivery, which helped the drivers make a big step. On top of that we completed a lot of running on the Friday, particularly with Romain, which meant vital set-up work could be undertaken and we also confirmed aerodynamic improvements on the car. These combined factors helped us to be more competitive, including P9 during the second session. In third practice we were pretty quick in the wet, and then again in qualifying we showed improved pace. Our race performance also improved, moving us ahead of Toro Rosso and McLaren in Shanghai. We have made steady progress in terms of closing the gap to all of the leading teams since Australia."
Where might Romain have finished?
"We were unfortunate to miss out on a point or two with Romain due to the gearbox failure in the race. It was a new and rare issue but we’ve made preventative measures to avoid a similar scenario in the future. Pastor’s weekend was hampered a little by his mistake on Friday and an issue on Saturday, which necessitated a change of power unit. As a result Pastor lost most of FP3 and all of qualifying, putting him on the back foot for the race. Although we’ve improved the drivability of the car, Pastor wasn’t quite as happy with the chassis balance as he had been in Bahrain. So he wasn’t as comfortable in the car as Romain, but that may simply be due to missing out on so much track time."
Was there time to assess all of the new parts?
"We had a huge amount to get through because we hadn’t run much in the Bahrain test. We assessed over half of the new parts which is a positive and we have a lot more lined up for Barcelona.
"We’ve got further improvements on engine mapping, which should give us another step forward. We’ve got a new cooling and bodywork package coming - quite a big upgrade - plus some updates to the rear wing and various other bodywork parts. All of the developments that we’ve brought for the car so far have been an improvement, which is highly satisfying and validates the hard work being done back at the factory. We also received more horsepower from Renault Sport F1 in China and I hope we’ll get a further step-up in Barcelona, which will make a massive difference."
Where can more performance be found?
"There are a lot of aero improvements we want to bring to make the car more predictable for the drivers. We also want to do more work on tyre temperatures. The latest generation of tyres are quite hard in compound and it can be difficult to keep them in the optimum operating window. On the other hand braking is definitely better now. We’ve made some good improvements in terms of how the drivers can control the brakes and manage the power unit during braking."
Last year Lotus finished in second place after a three-stop strategy. What will be the way to go this year?
"It is difficult to say because the tyre constructions are different this year and also a lot depends on temperatures. The E21 was very kind on tyres as we know, the E22 we are still really discovering so it is difficult to know for sure. What is certain is the fact that the left hand fronts at Barcelona will be key because of the long constant radius Turn 3."
Barcelona and then Monaco: Two very different tracks, will they suit the E22?
"They may look very different, but they are both handling and downforce dominated circuits. Power is always important; more so in Barcelona than Monaco, but it plays a smaller role than at other circuits so we are expecting to be reasonably competitive at both events."

Maldonado ostaje i 2015. u Lotusu
Lotus have confirmed that Pastor Maldonado will continue to race with the team for a second season next year, having joined from Williams at the end of 2013.
Maldonado, the 2010 GP2 Series champion, made his F1 debut in 2011 and went on to become the first Venezuelan to win a Grand Prix with his 2012 victory for Williams in Spain. This year, however, he has yet to score a point and lies 19th in the drivers’ championship.
“I can confirm 50 percent of our driver line-up for 2015 as Pastor is with us for next year,” team principal Gerard Lopez told the Lotus website. “Despite the difficulties we’ve had so far this season, he recognises our true potential as a team and we recognise his true potential as a driver. We will achieve great things together.”
Maldonado’s current team mate at Lotus is Frenchman Romain Grosjean, who has had a full-time race seat with the Enstone squad since 2012. This year Grosjean has scored eight points, putting him 14th in the standings.
